Why Isn’t Gain a Consulting Firm?

Although Gain launched this year, our team has been working together for a long time. But, while we now have a clear vision, we haven't always known where we wanted to fit in.
That’s why we want to share with you a reflection on what is new, different, and our own
Our goal was clear: Access. To provide access to opportunities, new regions, networks, and intelligence. Access to that “extra” that companies need to gain the support that will catapult them to success. That boost that, in the right place and at the right time, will transform a butterfly into a hurricane.
But even though we provided advice and development, the “consulting firm” label always made us uncomfortable. Their strategies took years to develop, while we’d been adapting ours in real time since before the lockdown. Their consultants spoke about a specific sector, while we worked with specialists in economics as well as geopolitics, law, and technology. They operated on a large scale, while we only focused on objectives that promised immense impact.
We were somewhat different. Flexible, fast, and eager to work internationally with leading specialists to find answers that were both personalized and comprehensive; more than a sector, our way of working was a style. And, since few things can be unique without being named, we decided to give ourselves a name:

Agile consulting

Since then, everything has fallen into place perfectly. We are, and always have been, a unique model of agile consulting. And, as we want to make this clear, we’ve decided it’s time to share the key elements of the Gain model:
  1. We only tackle high-impact objectives.
  2. We provide and guarantee specialization, not on a large scale.
  3. We are flexible. We adapt to your needs, not the other way around.
  4. Disruptions are happening now. So is our strategy.
  5. Your time is precious. We’ll tell you the bare minimum.
  6. We’re not just a service; we become an extension of your team.
  7. Our perspective is network-based. We analyze interconnections and systems, not individuals.
  8. We innovate and grow every day. Adaptability is our insurance against obsolescence.
This is Gain’s style. It’s new. It’s different. And, what we’re most proud of, it’s ours. It might not be for everyone, but nothing ever is. But, just in case there’s still any doubt, we hope this is enough:
We are Gain, your strategic partner for agile growth, business intelligence and networking.
