Why Isn’t Gain a Consulting Firm?

Although Gain launched as a company this year, our team has a much longer trajectory working together, over the course of which it wasn’t always clear how or where we fit into the consultancy sector.
In fact, it was through Gain’s inception that we were able to redefine who we are as a firm, with an equally newfound conviction of what we are not.
This is our reflection on the new, the different, and the singularly ours.
From the very beginning, we have always led with one primary goal: Access. Providing access to opportunities, regions, networks and intelligence. Access to that extra “something” that accelerates a business to success. That push which, in the right place at the right time, transforms the butterfly into a hurricane.
Sure, we provided business advisory and development services, but we were never completely comfortable with the “consultancy” label. Consultancies created drawn-out strategies spanning years, meaningless when confined by the pandemic, while we always operated in the now, creating opportunities from change. Their consultants specialized in one sector, while we specialized in collaborating with experts spanning economics, geopolitics, law or technology. They worked on a large-scale, while we worked on specific targets that promised high impact.
We were something different. Flexible, nimble and ready to work directly with top experts to find answers that were just as customized as they were comprehensive; more than a sector, our way of working was a style. And, as something cannot exist without being named, we chose a name for ourselves:

Agile Consulting

From that moment, everything made sense. It turned out that we were, are and always had been exactly that, an innovative model of agile consulting. And so, in order to make it clear we’ve decided it’s time to share the core of Gain’s model:
  1. We only work towards high impact objectives.
  2. We provide and guarantee expertise, not large-scale.
  3. We are flexible. We adjust to your needs, not the other way around.
  4. Disruptions occur in the now. So does our strategy.
  5. Your time is money. We will cost you the minimum.
  6. We are not just a service, we become an extension of your team.
  7. We have a global network perspective. We analyze systems, not individuals.
  8. We innovate and grow every day. Adaptability is our insurance against obsolescence.
This is our way. It is new. It’s different. It may not be for everyone, but nothing can be.
We are Gain, your strategic growth, business intelligence and network partner.
